Human trafficking is a significant issue in Pakistan

With various forms of trafficking occurring within and across its borders. While the government and civil society organizations have taken measures to combat trafficking.

Forms of Trafficking

Sex Trafficking

  • Pakistan is a source, transit, and destination country for sex trafficking. Women and children are particularly vulnerable and are often forced into prostitution within Pakistan or trafficked to other countries, including the Middle East.

Forced Labor

  • Forced labor is prevalent, especially in industries such as brick kilns, agriculture, construction, and domestic work.

Child Labor

  • Child labor, often involving hazardous work, is a concern. Children are at risk of being trafficked for labor purposes.

Vulnerable Populations

  • Vulnerable populations are groups of individuals who face a higher risk of poor health outcomes, social disadvantage, or limited access to healthcare due to economic, social, environmental, or biological factors.

Women and Children

  • Women and children, especially girls, are at a higher risk of trafficking for sexual exploitation.

Internal Migration

  • Many trafficking victims come from marginalized communities and rural areas. They are often lured into trafficking under the guise of better employment opportunities in urban areas.

Poverty

  • Economic hardships and lack of opportunities drive individuals into exploitative labor conditions.

Lack of Education

  • Limited access to education, especially in rural areas, leaves children vulnerable to exploitation.

Conflict and Displacement

  • Regional conflicts and displacement contribute to the vulnerability of populations to trafficking.

Corruption

  • Corruption within law enforcement and other government department can hinder anti-trafficking efforts

Features of MIS

TIP MIS provide Web based interfaces for registration, protection and tracking of Trafficking in persons which will include development of following interfaces for relevant department There are two Parts of system.

TIP Quarterly Aggregated Report

System provide input interface to provincial User of each department to enter TIP Aggregated quarterly reporting tool as per the Tool of TIP Aggregated report (See Annex A). Input web based form support following features.

Registration and tracking of TIP Cases

Registration and tracking of TIP victims input forms design as given in Annex-B. It includes registration, referral, legal actions and protection related services Provincial departments DEO.

Other important features

System will be role based with three major roles DEO May submit quarterly aggregated TIP reports May register / track / refer TIP cases Managers Can view status, reports, analytics and dashboard System Admin, System admin will configure the system, All information will be saved in central database

Login & Logout

As the first step to enter into the online TIP MIS system, user will have to login into the TIP web based software. A user would be required to follow the below given instructions for the Login process.
